Tractor museum

May 2014
Oma, Opa, Mommy, Daddy, Landon, and Colton walked over to an outdoor museum fundraiser.
Colton liked the tractors so much, but could only sit on this particular one. He totally plays the farmer role with his honey stick (looks like hay in the pictures) hanging out of his mouth.

this tractor looks like the one in his favorite book, Otis.

Had a great lesson on bees and a sample of their yummy honey.

Landon @ 9 months

May 2014

Little laundry helper.
Getting busy...getting into everything. Pulling himself up on everything.

Little kitchen helper.

Outside watching brother ride his bike.

Likes:
balls
stairs

He absolutely adores bath time.

Landon wants to be involved in everything big brother is doing.

This little love rarely falls asleep on Mommy any more.
Poor baby had a fever and then got a rash (hand, foot, mouth disease).
So, we had a few days of naps with Mommy.

Landon loves bananas--so he's trying to get a bite off of brother's snack.

into everything.

this little love always wakes up this happy.

big brother joining and teaching Landon how to climb stairs safely.

My little organizer.
Pulling big brother's next size up clothes off the bin. I'd put them back. He'd pull them off. We played this game over and over.

Landon 9 mo well-check

May 7, 2014
Happy, healthy, busy, and active boy Landon.
He had a great well-check where the pediatrician was impressed with Landon's activity level and how advanced he is.
at 9 months:
@ 19 pounds his weight is at 20th percentile
@ 29 inches his height is at 68th percentile
@ 18.5 inches his head circumference is at 88th percentile

Lando was beyond busy with his reflection, crawling all over the exam table, and finally ripping up the white paper covering the table and sticking it in his mouth. I was so thankful that Colton was at preschool with Oma and Daddy had the day off cuz that was a busy busy waiting time for the doctor!

my May faves.

May 2014

We rarely get the grocery cart with the car for Colton to drive because it doesn't fit Landon's carseat in the cart. This day I was wearing Landon in the Ergo, so I told Colton he could "drive" us around the store.
His grin shows how he feels!!

Just another May afternoon at our house.

I was cleaning the van and Colton was playing with the umbrella. It started out all cute and twirly (see pic #1). Then he smashed it against the bush a few too many times (see pic #2). Finally, after demolishing it against the rocks he is dragging it to the dumpster (see pic #3).

Colton got this Read to Me before we moved to Spokane. He was a bit too young still to use it so we just read the books. In May he got it out again and it was incredible!! Colton uses the red Read to Me device and selects the book he wants to read. Then he points to the shape on the page (see pic #1). Then pushes that on the red Read to Me device (see pic #2) and the page is read to him (see pic #3), followed by a ding alerting him to turn the page. It's so neat to watch our 3 yr old do this all by himself and see the pride in his face as he "reads" these books!!

Sunday night dinner at Perry Street Pizza o their patio with the family is one of our favorite ways to end a weekend.
The guys must have gotten the memo...it was turquoise day!

Doing chores. :)

He's still my boy even though he's rough and tough, independent, strong-willed 3 yr old. It's a Snowman and The Snowdog movie date....in May. :)

raaaaar! we are tough and strong!!!

Can't you just hear his joy???
Grandma Jules dug out the tire swing right before we came up to visit. He loved it and asked for more and more!

Colton and Corbin.
These two are buddies and becoming the best of friends.

Colton with his Auntie Syds after her dance recital at Evergreen Fountains on May 19th.

Isn't he something? So intent. So thoughtful. So cute!

Mommy's Little Man.
Exploring. Observing. Oozing irresistible cuteness.

Discovery Park with our fam!
I can still hear Colton's sheer delight as Mommy jumped with him on the in-ground trampoline.

Discovery Park followed by Red Robin.
Thank you to Justin and Sue for the gift card for our birthdays! What a treat!!

Landon rocking the vintage onesie.
His big brother's from 2011.
Adorable.

We all joined Daddy while he helped Grandma Jules and Bompa tear down the old fence and prepare for the new one. We ran with the dog, played tractors, had lunch, rode bikes, played with sidewalk chalk, and watched a show on the grass in the shade. Needless to say we missed nap that particular afternoon.
Colton never ever ever sleeps in the van. Of course this happened a mere 5 minutes from home.

"It's not a tractor!!!! It's a backhoe. Hahahaha!"
Yes, our 3 yr old is sitting in his baby brother's high chair. Yes, he still fits. Kinda.

Spring is here in Manito Park!

May 2, 2014
We hadn't been to Manito Park yet after moving home to Spokane, so today was the day!
And what a beautiful day it was.

Japanese Gardens were serene and stunning.

checking out the koi fish.

Quirky Colton...insists on wearing his jacket in the double stroller. He's so silly!!

We picked up Zips and had lunch with Grandma Jules.
Of course, a little bit of playing in the the rocks was in order before we left.

Evidence that today was fun!
