my May faves.

May 2014

We rarely get the grocery cart with the car for Colton to drive because it doesn't fit Landon's carseat in the cart. This day I was wearing Landon in the Ergo, so I told Colton he could "drive" us around the store.
His grin shows how he feels!!

Just another May afternoon at our house.

I was cleaning the van and Colton was playing with the umbrella. It started out all cute and twirly (see pic #1). Then he smashed it against the bush a few too many times (see pic #2). Finally, after demolishing it against the rocks he is dragging it to the dumpster (see pic #3).

Colton got this Read to Me before we moved to Spokane. He was a bit too young still to use it so we just read the books. In May he got it out again and it was incredible!! Colton uses the red Read to Me device and selects the book he wants to read. Then he points to the shape on the page (see pic #1). Then pushes that on the red Read to Me device (see pic #2) and the page is read to him (see pic #3), followed by a ding alerting him to turn the page. It's so neat to watch our 3 yr old do this all by himself and see the pride in his face as he "reads" these books!!

Sunday night dinner at Perry Street Pizza o their patio with the family is one of our favorite ways to end a weekend.
The guys must have gotten the memo...it was turquoise day!

Doing chores. :)

He's still my boy even though he's rough and tough, independent, strong-willed 3 yr old. It's a Snowman and The Snowdog movie date....in May. :)

raaaaar! we are tough and strong!!!

Can't you just hear his joy???
Grandma Jules dug out the tire swing right before we came up to visit. He loved it and asked for more and more!

Colton and Corbin.
These two are buddies and becoming the best of friends.

Colton with his Auntie Syds after her dance recital at Evergreen Fountains on May 19th.

Isn't he something? So intent. So thoughtful. So cute!

Mommy's Little Man.
Exploring. Observing. Oozing irresistible cuteness.

Discovery Park with our fam!
I can still hear Colton's sheer delight as Mommy jumped with him on the in-ground trampoline.

Discovery Park followed by Red Robin.
Thank you to Justin and Sue for the gift card for our birthdays! What a treat!!

Landon rocking the vintage onesie.
His big brother's from 2011.
Adorable.

We all joined Daddy while he helped Grandma Jules and Bompa tear down the old fence and prepare for the new one. We ran with the dog, played tractors, had lunch, rode bikes, played with sidewalk chalk, and watched a show on the grass in the shade. Needless to say we missed nap that particular afternoon.
Colton never ever ever sleeps in the van. Of course this happened a mere 5 minutes from home.

"It's not a tractor!!!! It's a backhoe. Hahahaha!"
Yes, our 3 yr old is sitting in his baby brother's high chair. Yes, he still fits. Kinda.
