at 9 weeks :
12 pounds 12 ounces
23.5 inches long
head is 40 cm around
Yesterday was Colton's 2 month baby well-check with his pediatrician. She was quite impressed with how alert and strong he is! He had his first set of immunization shots. He was a trooper; he held onto Daddy's hands, cried/screamed, then was comforted by Daddy and then Mommy. We were so proud of him! He then proceeded to take a long nap in the car. Later in the afternoon he was crying so much, an "in pain" cry, that I gave him a bit of acetaminophen which totally helped him feel much better. Poor little guy.
At 9 weeks, our baby is so active! He tracks Daddy & Mommy with his eyes and knows our voices. He is gaining more and more control of his head each day. Colton is such a happy baby. He wakes up cooing and smiling from naps. In the last few weeks Wes and I have been able to make him laugh, which is so fun!
Colton takes a pacifier when he is tired and right before naps or bedtime. For the past few weeks he has been sleeping between 5 and 6 hours during the night. (yay!!)
His favorite things to do are:
be held, snuggled and cuddled by all
track Mommy and Daddy with his eyes and move his head to follow us
smile...a lot!
"talk" to us in his sweet cooing language
stare at ceiling fans and lights
stare at anything black and white
kick his legs and wave his arms while on his playmat
__________________________________________________________________________ After Colton's appointment we drove to Bullhead City, Arizona (1 hr 20 min away)
to visit our friends, the Fultons, for lunch.
Justin & Sue have 3 sweet kids: Aiden, Ainesly, & Aedra.
Aedra is 2 months and 1 day older than Colton. But, as you can see,
our sweet little baby boy is almost bigger than 4 month old Aedra.
How big does Colton look in this picture!!
It's almost like a glimpse of the future to what he'll look like when he can hold his head up all the time.
