A&W with baby make 3: 1st pumpkin carving party

Dianna's daughter loves Colton soooo much.
"hello lil babeeeee" she always says.

the rind was very thick (see the above pic for proof!)...so thick that Wes thought he was going nuts when the pumpkin carving tools were not working. he busted out the big guns...a kitchen knife...and that did the trick.

she also told me, when Colton was about 3 months old, that he was a "new baby" and her brother, who is 1 yr older, is an "old baby". love her logic!

later she asked if Colton could come and play on the carpet with her. Cute, huh?

the pattern we chose. it was rated "easy" (other options were medium difficulty or challenging.) for a first attempt, we thought this was perfect.

Liz's daughter shared her pumpkin for a bit with Colton. He didn't quite know what to think.

then he knew exactly what to do...

of course! that's the what one should always do when unsure of what to do with a baby pumpkin. :)

the pattern has been "punched" onto the pumpkin's surface. now to use the mini saw tool to cut out the pieces.

Wes has suggested that we both carve pumpkins next year and compete to see whose is the best.
I don't think he knows what kind of mad skills I have. He's so going down. :)
