countdown to Christmas! @22months

back together again!!
the icky sickness caught Monica and Sierra.
so I took a few days off, Wes went in late to work, and we had the help of our sweet friends Liz and Gloria.

these 2 were so excited to play again!

unplanned twins outfits!
Nicole and I still believe! :)

Colton was invited to a birthday party at Run Plus Fun. The ball pit and bounce house were his favorite!!

Dec 20 and 21 our babysitter was out of town.
Jennifer JUMPED at the chance to have Colton all day. She works with Wes, has Thursdays off, and she adores our little man.
This is the present she had waiting for him. Wes told me that Colton barely said goodbye when he left Bugs at Jennifer's. I wonder why...choo choo train around the tree, a present wrapped and ready for him, and Minnie the dog. Our boy was elated!!

Nap time at Jenifer's.

Lunch at Jennifer's.
Mac and cheese. Blueberries and strawberries. Vanilla yogurt. and she gave him sugarfree juice ("duce")

Friday the 21st Jenifer had to work at 1:00, so her daughter watched Colton. This is a donut. Guess he was more interested in the sprinkles than the sweet dough. They played all day, went to the park, and had a dance party in the living room.

We are so blessed to have sweet friends who love our son as we do!

Friday night.
playing with his new dactor from Jenifer

I think he's all worn out from all the fun at Jenifer's home!

just another Saturday morning with the bears!

Saturday mornings are the best.
this cute little boy in his footie pjs. all cuddly after his long winters nap. needing his bears by his side. and then posing in this cute little spot without us prompting him. I don't have to rush off to work. I let Colton be my alarm clock. Yep. Love Saturdays.

looks like Christmas! @22 months

good morning little Christmas boy!

listening the The Night Before Christmas.
Grandma Jules sent this for Colton. She recorded her own voice reading it! So sweet.
There's a page that is a little girl in bed and Colton calls the little girl "Jules".

Want to sit on Santa's lap?
"nuh uh".
clung to Wes.
(I think he knew it wasn't Opa Claus and wasn't having anything to do with it!)

Ethel M's Cactus Garden.
"ights! igths!" (lights)
and of course picking up rocks along the pathway.
we celebrated our 4th annual lights and dinner with our sweet friends.
Then we were off to dinner with our friends then to Quiver Point for their street full of decorations. Fun times!

I said to Colton, "doesn't Santa look like Opa?"
Now, every time he sees Santa (tv, book, decoration) he says "Opa! Opa!"

@22 months of fun.

November family pic @12months

our sweet family.
November 2012

"Thank you" @21 months

"Thank you", says Colton looking you straight in the eyes and speaking in the sweetest voice you've
ever heard.

He says "thank you" all the time, for everything, and it just warms our hearts.

After Daddy brings him breakfast.
After Mommy fills his water cup in the bath.
After putting on his shoes.
After buckling his carseat.
When we find his favorite bear or tractor.
When we read him a book at bedtime.
When we change his diaper.
For everything. He has the best manners.

Colton was my BIG helper when we picked up the Bountiful Basket on Saturday morning. He took this apple as his payment for the help. :)
and yes....another goose egg with bruise. :( he was SUPER excited this morning for his haircut and was dancing and bouncing all over the bathroom. in his excitement he slammed into the edge of the bathroom counter.

showing you how yummy his "bapple" is.
dinner date with bear.

he's no longer scared of the tree.
he reaches up and flips the light switch to turn it on every morning.
he gives the tree a hug.
he has his own ornaments that are low that he is allowed to play with. (many ornaments were his Daddy's when he was a boy)
after being warned, he tries to touch the breakable ornaments (even though they are up high) on purpose while looking at Momma...this lands him in Time Out for not listening. He immediately walks over and sits down for 1.5 minutes.

could he be any cuter?
We are so in love with our little guy.

Colton and Sierra @21months

Monica has been babysitting Colton since August. She goes to my church and we are in the same Bible study on Tuesday nights.  She is an answered prayer and the biggest blessing. She loves Colton and we love knowing he is getting one-on-one care from someone so sweet.
Her daughter, Sierra, is 3 years old. Colton and Sierra play so well together.
On this day Colton grabbed Sierra's hand and off they went. Back and forth, back and forth in the house.

buddies.
CUTE!!!

more tractor love @21 months

Colton and I went to visit the Comptons on Saturday during Thanksgiving weekend.
Colton LOVED Liam's toys. This Tonka truck, the train set, the tracks, the small Tonka cars, and the little tractor.

blurry Colton, but you can see the Tonka truck he wouldn't get out of. I pushed him all over the house...for the longest time!

We often drive by the park that is under construction in our neighborhood for Colton to watch the dactors.

Playing in the office closet one morning with Daddy.

Colton loves stickers!
He immediately takes the stickers and puts them on his forehead.
He's such a character!

When we left Andrea's on Saturday Colton had a little tractor toy that he wouldn't let go of. I asked if I could bring it back to her on Monday at work. This is a pic of Colton looking for the tractor. He insisted that Daddy take the diaper bag off the shelf so he could inspect it himself because he didn't believe that the dactor was gone. Andrea sweetly gave the tractor to Colton when I told her how much he loved it...and it hasn't left his side since. :)

Wes and Colton just got back from the grocery store on Tuesday and this is the text I get:

"Guess who found his Christmas presents in the garage? He won't come inside. "

(see the tractor in his hand? he's happy!)

Daddy juiced carrots.
He tried the juice...he wasn't the biggest fan.
