tractor shadows and teeth @23 months

diaper change before bed admist the tractors that followed us from the bath, to the bedroom for pjs, to the couch for milk, to the bathroom for teeth brushing, to the bedroom for diaper change, and finally all lined up for book reading.

Colton lined up all his tractors so they could listen to the books before bed.

Daddy and Colton bought this stool on Tuesday.
Now our big boy can reach the sink when he spits while brushing his teeth.

I cried when Wes sent me these pictures while I was at work.
He's turning 2 next month and I am in awe at how grown up he is.

On Tuesday the repair man came to fix our frigerator door leaving a box behind. Which of course became Colton's favorite play place that day!

5 years, 60 months, 1825 days

He brought me roses on our 5 year anniversary.

Colton had a baby sitter while Wes and I had our 5 year anniversary date. We ate at PF Changs then went to see Zarkana at Aria on the strip.

married 5 years!

3 day wknd fun @23months

Friday after work we went to the park around the corner from our development.

big boy Colton on the slide...trying to climb up. Isn't this what all boys do??

love his sweet face.

Saturday we made guacamole with our avacados from Bountiful Basket. Super surprised that Colton liked it...but he kept asking for more "dip".

he's growing up!!
he looks like a big boy...not our little tiny baby.

goofy face

Saturday afternoon we went to Colton's best buddies birthday party.
Happy 4th Birthday to Jaylyn!!

Monday morning we went to a local park for a friend to take Colton's 2 year old pictures.
He was so into digging with his tractors in the dirt!

Auntie Kristi!

at the birthday party:
Sophia, Colton, Daniel (being liked by Sarai), and Jaylyn.

Monday afternoon:
naming all the family members in his photo album.

Mommy and Colton munching ice cream and cake at Jaylyn's party.
"Mo ice peez" is what Colton said. : )

Colton and Daniel followed each other in circles around the Sanchez house at the birthday party pushing their cars. It was so cute! And they both needed to run off some of the sugar from cake and ice cream!

@23months

the tractors came to dinner at our favorite Greek cafe.

Colton and the tractor crew waiting oh so patiently for food to arrive. ; )

puzzles!
Colton got 3 puzzles and a puzzle organizing rack from our babysitter, Monica, for Christmas. He loves them and he's really good at them too!
His favorite part is definitely dumping the puzzle pieces.

Living room fort on a Tuesday.
Colton is REALLY into playing in a fort. Daddy made this fort for Colton and they played in it all day long. Usually Colton wants us to make a fort on our bed under the covers.
Colton sticks his head out, waves, says "Hi Momma! Hi Momma!" Followed by "Bye bye Momma, bye bye Momma!" as he goes back into the fort.

Isn't he too funny!
Colton was eating a snack at his table one evening and I left him for a second to start a load of laundry. I came back to find him shirtless and posing. What a ham!

Now he's showing you his muscles.
Sooo strong!

More Colton muscles.
Sooo big!

Colton's most recent, favorite activity = dumping Daddy's sock drawer. He literally throws the socks all over the closet and then plays in the empty drawer. I remember him sitting in the drawer just 6 months ago...quite a bit smaller than he his at 23 months!!

He's pointing to the tractors on his pjs.
"dactor. dactor. dactor. dactor." (he could go on all night!!)

No, Momma. I can't smile. Bubble baths are serious business. I have so many bubbles to play with and so little time!!

Always playing with his trucks. Filling up the dump trucks with his excavator, then dumping them.

Colton wanted a self-portrait with his truck. :)

Look how long this little boy is!

Spokane Snow! @22months

Friday morning ....
This is the first snow Colton remembers experiencing.
It snowed in Dec 2011 when we were in Spokane but he was 10 months and has only seen the pictures.

sledding with Grandma Jules

All bundled up in the 25degree temperatures!
Not exactly a matching outfit...but he was warm and we didn't stay out long. Colton would have loved to stay out, but Jules and I were freezing! Not to mention, Colton wouldn't keep his gloves on! It was much easier to grab snow with out those pesky mittens.

Opa & Oma Claus! @22months

On Thursday , Colton and I went to spend the day with Oma and Opa. Although it was January I had asked Opa if he could dress up as Opa Claus for Colton. I just had to have pictures of Colton with his Opa!! Plus, we had tried another Santa in Henderson at Ethel M's and Colton wanted nothing to do with that one. I think our little man was holding out for the REAL deal. :)

We opened presents, then took off to see the tractor at Yolks. Colton loved this! Such a good idea, Oma and Opa! Then we ate at our favorite lunch spot, Cuppa Joe's. Oma put Colton down for a nap and I snuck off to spend 2 hours with Katie and to meet her little girl, Hannah that was born early September.

"snow"!! sounds more like "no"

Happy smile!
Opa Claus had 2 presents for Colton...The Machines book and the Construction truck book that had wheels! He loved them both and we read them all the time!

Oma and Opa Claus
Christmas 2012.

Colton was entralled with Opa's beard!

LOVE this one.
Opa had a great idea...once he was ready to start putting on the coat, boots, belt, and hat that Colton should come in and see the transformation. Colton jumped around the room and shook the Santa bells and it didn't bother him one bit that Opa was changing into Opa Claus.

We had been practicing with Colton all December to say "Opa" and "Oma". It was Colton that started with "Opa, ho ho ho". He's right! Opa does say "Ho ho ho!"

This tractor was a HUGE hit with our little boy! He thought this was the coolest thing ever!
Oma makes a great seatbelt!!

watch out! Colton's driving!!
he made all the appropriate driving noises
roooom...vrooooom

little Colton Dean driving a tractor!

Hi Momma wave Colton and Opa!
