Spokane Trip Jan. 2013 @22months

Colton and I left on a Tuesday for chilly Spokane. It would be a quick trip...but we missed our family and wanted to see snow!!
Our flight left Vegas about 2:20 and we got to Spokane at 5. We had dinner at home and just hung out. It was cold...25 degrees was the high!!...and we stayed warm inside playing and watching Colton chase Sydney all over. :)

Ready to fly!
Colton and I flew to Spokane for 3 (full) days Jan 1 to Jan 5th.
This pic is while on tarmak in Vegas and Colton was loving the view outside his window.
"planes!" "fire dactors" "cars!" "dactors!"
It was cute to see him name items he'd only seen in a book.

Don't let this photo fool you...he didn't get his own seat. He flies for free until 2yo.
Our flight up was 100% packed.
And we left at 2pm.
Nap time is 12 pm.
But, he did great! Colton did fall asleep for the last hour and a half and that meant I got a little reading in...like the old days of travel before kiddos!
On the way home we had 3 seats to ourselves and Colton slept for 2 hours since we left Spokane at 3pm. Again...such a good flier!

The Stumbaughs have good hygiene!
Our little man LOVES to brush his teeth.
he even spits in the sink. well, not in the sink yet since he's not tall enough to get it in. it's more like at the sink, but on the counter. :)

This is the face I get when I interrupt playing tractors with Grandma Jules. :)

Colton spent so much time on the window seat looking outside for "doggy, doggy!" (Sadie).
Sadie would sit at the window, then Colton would come running up to the window to see her, Sadie would run inside thinking she was going to get company out in the garage. It was so sweet, yet sad since Colton just wanted to look at her!

Uncle Tanner showing his nephew how to play Power Rangers (his toys from boyhood).

LOVE Ids!
Colton called Sydney "Ids" and would follow her everywhere. He'd ask for her the minute he woke up and if she wasn't awake he'd skip in and be her alarm clock. I know she was tired, but she loved it!

Wednesday morning Colton, Jules and I stopped by to say hello to Lenore and Irv. Then, Jules and I met Mindy for lunch and then did a bit of shopping. Colton spent time with Oma and Opa and they loved their time with him! They played, visited with the doggies, read books, had a yummy lunch, and took a nap on Oma's mat. This was Colton's first time not sleeping in a crib or pack and play. He did great!
Wednesday night Drew, Briana, and Corbin and Mindy came up for dinner. Finally I got to meet little cousin Corbin!! He's adorable and so little.  We exchanged presents and had a delish dinner.

Thursday we spent with the Stumbaughs...see separate post. :)

Friday we hung out at home until 11am and then went to lunch with Great Grandma Lenore, Great Grandpa Irv, Mindy, Briana, Corbin, Jules, and me.  We came home for Colton's nap and then went to pizza with Tim and Julie LeClaire. Sydney brought a friend and the two young ladies were great at taking care of Colton!
Learning all about machines with Grandpa Mark

playing with the logging truck Jules kept for her grandbabies.

Jules would load it up and Colton would swat the logs off. Such a boy!!

Another of Uncle Tanner's boyhood toys that Colton found. This one was huge and he insisted on taking it to lunch with the Great Grandparents. It was a bit challenging....the car transporter, gold fish crackers, and pictures on my phone. He seemed to manage just fine, though!

Showing Great Grandma Lenore (Nore) his dactor.
We went to lunch with the Great Grandparents, Mindy, Briana and Corbin, Jules and I. Colton played on the floor at this Chinese restaurant. It was perfect...and he was such a good boy!
Saturday morning was low key with playing cars with Uncle Tanner, being cute with Aunt Syd, playing in the sewing room, helping Mommy pack, and then heading to the airport at 1:00.

this was a highlight for Colton.
Planes, equipment, trucks, and he named them all!

plane! plane!

the minute we got home he took out his tractors and Elmo. It was adorable. We'd been gone 4 days and he missed them terribly!
Auntie Kristi came to get us at the airport. After dinner she took us by to see Wes at work. Colton spotted his Daddy across the store and took of running and yelling "Dadda! Dadda!" and jumped into his arms.  When we caught up to the guys Colton told us multiple times "It's Dadda. It's Dadda". Oh the things a sweet 22 month old little boy say. Melts my heart. And I know it melted his Daddy's heart that night too.
