Califonia Pumpkin Patch @19 months

Saturday afternoon, over coffee in our hotel room's living room as Colton slept in the bedroom, Wes asked what I thought about staying an extra day. Knowing we both had already taken Monday off (so we could travel on Monday and it won't be a problem)....I was all for one more day.

 

Sunday morning we went to church with all the family, then had a delish lunch. Colton fell asleep in the van from church to Donna & Thad's so we put him to sleep in the pack & play. Around 3:00 we loaded up and headed out to the pumpkin patch.

 

The cousins promised us:

animals to feed, hay maze (got lost inside with a 19 month old boy was NOT fun), homemade ice cream (my husband is amazing...he chose pumpkin flavor--my fave!!), pumpkins galore, hay rides, and great photo ops. Best of all....a real, true, official pumpkin patch.

I was so excited to go...and wasn't disappointed one bit!

Pumpkin patches in Las Vegas consist of pumpkins plopped into a parking lot by a casino. This Californian pumpkin patch was the real deal.

And we were one happy family!

inside you can buy fresh apple pie, fresh apple cider (it was delish! Colton drank all of mine!), honey sticks, every yummy baking thing you can think of, fresh produce, and so much more.

Colton picked out a pumpkin. It's the perfect size for him.

What does a sheep say? "Baaa" says Colton.

At the pumpkin patch you can purchase a bag of lettuce to feed the animals for $0.50.

We weren't s sure what Colton would do with the animals. Come to find out...

"ahhhhhh" says Colton as the sheep eat the lettuce.

@19 months if there are 2 people there, Colton wants to hold hands with each person. This just warms my heart!

Monday morning...time to pack up and hit the road.

It was an amazing weekend in California. Just what the doctor ordered.
Time with my family of 3. Held hands with my husband, drove, and listened to great music.
Meet amazing extended family. Ate great sushi (craving that Crunchy Roll!). Had the best meals.
Hotel had a layout very conducive for our family--bedroom and living room were separated by bathroom and little hallway.
