road trip to Cali!

We drove to Santa Maria, California for Wes' family reunion on his dad's side.

The drive there was about 7 hours...1 hour for lunch & tree hugging.

The drive back was 7.5 hours...2 stops included food and playing in the park.

Oh, and don't forget our very expensive short-cut...it cost us a new windshield.

Thanks Mr. Truck Driver for the rock.

Colton sees a tree and he hugs it.
We found a spot of grass for him to run around in after a yummy lunch at Chipotle.
Colton was a hungry little traveler...cheese quesadilla and blueberry yogurt!

Na na, na na.
Colton will sing the Elmo theme song when he wants to watch a show.
Wes rigged up the DVD player to the passenger seat head-rest so it was perfect for Colton.
He is totally in the zone.
I am embarrassed to even say how many HOURS of Elmo were watched on our road trip. So I won't. But know this...a happy traveler beats a cranky one any day. And we did what we had to to do make this boy happy. :)
